3 Recipes Using Chatty's Indian Spices

TANDOORI BBQ (Order Now!)
1.75 kg of skinless chicken, lamb, pork, beef or fish steaks
1 package of Chatty's Tandoori BBQ Seasoning Mix
125 ml of plain yogurt
50 ml vegetable oil


Make several incisions in the meat or fish. In a large bowl, mix Chatty's Tandoori BBQ seasoning mix, yogurt and oil. Add meat. Cover and marinate 4 to 8 hours in the refrigerator. BBQ or broil, basting and turning occasionally. Serve with your favourite rice, vegetable and salad. Serves 6.


CHICKEN CURRY (Order Now!)
1.75 kg of chicken
175 ml plain yogurt
1 package of Chatty's Chicken Curry Seasoning Mix
50 ml vegetable oil
1 large finely chopped onion
125 ml warm water


Cut chicken into pieces and remove skin. In a large bowl, mix yogurt and Chatty's Chicken Curry Seasoning mix. Add Chicken. Cover and marinate for 30 minutes. (For best results marinate 4 to 8 hours in the refrigerator). In a large saucepan, heat oil and brown onion. Stir in chicken. Cook 15 minutes on medium heat. Add warm water and bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat and cook for 30 minutes (or until chicken is tender), stirring occasionally. Serve with your favourite rice, vegetable and salad. Serves 6.


CALCUTTA CURRY (Order Now!)
4 x 14 fluid oz cans of chick peas, black eyed beans or kidney beans (drain brine)
1/4 cup (50 ml) vegetable oil
1 large finely chopped onion
14 fluid oz can crushed tomatoes or tomato sauce
1 package of Chatty's Calcutta Curry Seasoning Mix
1 cup (250 ml) water

In a large sauce pan, heat oil and brown onion. Add crushed tomatoes or tomato sauce. Add Chatty's Calcutta Curry seasoning mix. Cook on medium heat 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add water and bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat to simmer and cook for 15 to 20 minutes. Serve with your favourite rice, bread and salad. Serves 6.

Meat: Substitute 1 kg (2.2 pounds) cubed beef or lamb for chick peas or beans. Follow above instructions except simmer and cook for 45 minutes.
